Honing tube is a type of hydraulic steel tube that is made from cold-drawn precision seamless steel pipe. After acid pickling, phosphating, and other heat treatment, the steel pipe is process by cold-rolled or a cold-drawn machine to produce a hydraulic steel tube. The honing process is then used to hone the inner diameter to achieve a more precise inner hole size. Honing tubes have extremely high precision, generally controlled within the range of 0.02-0.05mm according to Chinese national standard GB3639 for cold-drawn or cold-rolled precision seamless steel tubes. The allowable deviation of the inner diameter is 0.03mm, the roughness of the inner surface is normally Ra 0.2-0.8μm, and the straightness of the hydraulic steel tube is 0.3-1.5mm/m.
